A marvelous defensive five eight. If Jimmy Lisle got injured and Mick was promoted to 1st Grade to replace Lisle, Mick was usually made Captain.

Worked as a butcher at Glenmore Meats in Paddo. Whenever he seemed to play in first, Souths would have a real underdog win. Great bloke.

Played for the winning Glen Innes team in the 1969 grand final against Moree before moving to the Souths.
