Biography

Hard-running Souths centre, a NSW rep in 1926, played in the club's win in the 1927 final. Harris went to England to play for Huddersfield the following year but left earlier than expected after a contractual dispute involving Souths’ teammate Alby Carr. He later returned to Souths and again represented his state in 1932. Harris was later killed in a car accident in 1965.

Additional Notes

After 2 seasons in the country at Cootamundra & Boorowa returned to South Sydney in 1931 but transferred to play at Grenfell after 4 rounds then returned to Souths in 1932.

    Sid Harris played for Cootamundra 1929.

    Also played at Cootamundra 1929, Boorowa 1930 and Grenfell 1931.

    Souths 1926-27,31-34; Cootamundra 1929, Boorowa coach 1930; Grenfell 1931; was to coach Grenfell in 1932 but it fell through.
