    Played during an exciting time for the Roosters - a couple of Minor Premierships and a Grand Final - held his own in a strong back-line 1980-82.

    I attended most home games in 1980 (my first year really following the Roosters) and I remember Steve as a great competitor in a strong team - he played to his strengths and rarely made an error.

    Went to Rose Bay Public school with Steve. You could not have met a nicer person. No ego and extremely good athlete.
