Match Notes
Bob Fulton again dropped out of the Manly team due to an ongoing knee injury he was bracketed with Ian Martin in a 14 man team. Miscommunication caused Manly officials to be unaware of the absence of John McDonald with the flu as a result he had to be replaced by George McTaggart who had completed a full reserve grade game. McTaggart was then replaced at halftime by Bill Bradstreet.
Ray Steele replaced Laurie Fagan in the Penrith team.
Ian Martin fractured a wrist with 10 minutes remaining and had to leave the field Rob Cameron moved from the forwards to 5/8.
Peter Linde was sent off in the final minute of the match for kneeing in the scrum.
Note: Forward packs are listed in reverse order.
