St.George lost Brian Norton during the week and he was replaced by Harry Eden.
At halftime St.George replaced Graeme Langlands, Peter Fitzgerald & Rod Reddy with Geoff Carr, Lindsay Drake & Gary Souter then later in the 2nd half Souter was injured and replaced by Ken Batty with Branson moving to lock & Drake to the 2nd row.
