Mike Stephenson dropped out of the Penrith team and was replaced by Doug Bayley.
Graham Eadie withdrew due to having to attend a wedding & Bob Fulton was rested due to a knee problem they were replaced by Alan Maddalena & Dave Burnett.
Penrith lost Phil Jelley with an injured knee & Terry Geary with a broken arm early in the 1st half they were replaced by John Wilson & Merv Hayward. Richie Thornton took over as captain.
