Match Notes
Originally scheduled for the Sports Ground at 2:30pm this was moved to be a double header when Saturday's Souths v Parramatta game was transferred to Sunday due to the issues around the NSW v South Africa Rugby Union game & the expect demonstrations.
Dennis Tutty & Greg Fryer dropped out of a 15 man Balmain team both had knee injuries Olaf Prattl who was bracketed in the centres moved to 2nd row. Michael Ross dropped out on Friday with a leg injury and was replaced by Bob Smithies and Graham Mayhew also with a leg injury dropped out Saturday and was replaced by Terry Cross.
Tony Branson & Barry Beath were replaced in the last 5 mins by Phil Hawthorne & Ted Walton.
