Match Notes
Billy Smith withdrew from a 14 man St.George team, on Thurday Dennis Brandley & Ken Maddison withdrew and were replaced by Kevin O'Sullivan & Peter Fitzgerald, Batty moving from wing to centre & Carr from centre to wing.
Kevin Timbs dropped out of the Wests team on Thursday with a bruised heel and was replaced by Russell Johnstone. There is evidence to suggest Tim Murphy was a late drop out from the Wests team on Sunday morning and Jon Clark started the game.
At halftime St.George lost Geoff Carr with a hamstring injury & Tony Branson with concussion they were replaced by Paul Mills & Phil Hawthorne.
Russell Johnstone was replaced 10 mins into the 2nd half with an ankle injury by George Skeers.
