Match Notes
Nev Hornery withdrew from the Canterbury team on Friday the selectors moved Bill Noonan from prop to hooker & brought in Henry Tatana as the new prop.
Penrith replaced Dave Applebee with broken ribs & Ian McKechnie with a hamstring injury at halftime they were replaced by Tony Buckpitt & Norm Gilligan. Phil Kliendienst was forced to leave the field also with broken ribs late in the 2nd half but could not be replaced.
Les Ewing retired 25 mins into the first half with a chest injury and was replaced by Alan Burwell, Geoff Connell was replaced due to a head cut in the 2nd half by John Peek.
