Match Notes
Lionel Williamson & Mark Robertson dropped out of the Newtown team following Thursday training and were replaced by Danny Gough & Graham Tucker.
Rod Urquhart was sent off 5 mins before halftime for a head butt. Tommy Bishop was taken from the field with 17 mins remaining due to concussion and was replaced by Fred Dennehy. George Taylforth who suffered a depressed fracture of the cheekbone refused to leave the field and completed the game.
